Luxembourg Real Estate - Mortgage loans and interest rates

The Luxembourg Central Bank publishes monthly data on loans given based on a sample of 49 reporting banks.

Loan types are either for consumption, loans for house purchase or other purposes. The exact title: Luxembourg bank interest rates on euro-denominated deposits and loans by euro area residents - new business

For the LuxData Real Estate Analytics Dashboard we have included loans for house purchase with over 10 years initial rate fixation. This data helps us to visualize the trend of the housing market by number of loans given and the total amounts over time (month, quarter, year). The more loans given the more properties are sold.

This data also enables us to provide the user with a mortgage rate payment calculator based on his/her preference by amount and duration or the loan. In addition, it helps visualize the change in purchasing power since 2022 when the interest rates were raised.
